A Career Across Gaming’s Biggest Franchises

Webster’s resume reads like a highlight reel of the games industry. He’s contributed to Guitar Hero, helped shape Skylanders and Marvel Ultimate Alliance at Activision Blizzard, and worked on God of War — one of PlayStation’s most critically acclaimed series. Each of these franchises represents a different corner of gaming, and Webster brought his design expertise to all of them.

More recently, Webster joined the team at Archmage Rises, an ambitious open-world fantasy RPG, bringing his AAA experience to a passion-driven indie project. His involvement was announced on Steam with the headline “Former God of War Designer Joins Archmage Rises Team.”

Joymonger: Games That Bring Joy

Through his own studio, Joymonger Games, Webster offers consulting and mentorship to developers navigating the industry’s challenges. The name says it all — Mark believes games should bring joy, and he’s dedicated to helping others achieve that.

As a father of young creatives, he desires to find practical solutions to many challenges facing this great industry. When not creating new worlds, Mark loves chasing his two boys around this one with his wife, Amy.
