From Warcraft III Mod to Standalone Hit
Legion TD 2 has roots that stretch back to the golden age of Warcraft III custom maps. The original Legion TD was one of the most popular mods in the game — second only to DotA in player count. Founder Brent Batas loved the original so much that he set out to build a proper standalone version, and in 2017, Legion TD 2 launched into Early Access on Steam.
The game pits teams of players against each other in a unique twist on tower defense: you build your army, defend against waves of enemies, and try to destroy the opponent’s king before they destroy yours. With eight unique factions and over one hundred different fighters, there are millions of possible combinations at your disposal.
